Creating art is an outlet for my seemingly never ending energy. I feel painting is channeling of my emotions. I communicate my state of being through my paintings and sometimes my mood shows through in my pieces.

I’ve always been artistic. As a child, drawing and creating, to a teenager playing guitar in a band and writing music and lyrics. My interest in geometry of architecture and structural design has become influence on my art. My vision of an individual’s face in a portrait uses my skills at recognizing symmetry through geometry as well as blending and merging the essence of the subject on canvas.

As a painter, I gravitate towards certain images that capture my attention. Sometimes they are irrelevant to my tastes in culture, movies or music, but they interest me and I want to bring them to life with my own vision, in a painting. I strive to capture spirit, feeling and the essence of the subject in my pieces.

I was unaware of my talent to produce portraits up until 2010, when I received an airbrush as a gift from my wife. I quickly realized that portraits were my forte. I am never afraid to try different genres and styles as I grow as an artist.
